- Our short-term goal is to define the molecular mechanism of the function of TET proteins and epigenetic modifications in normal cell differentiation, metabolism, DNA damage repair and tumorigenesis. In the long term, we will expand our research to elucidate the role of TET proteins in various tissues and screen an effective and safe medicine for curing disease involved in deficiency of TET protein expression or function
